If you need more living space but don’t want to move, building a home addition can be a suitable alternative. Besides saving money, a home addition will add value to your house, while customizing it to meet the needs of you and your family.
Building an addition can be a big undertaking, but with proper planning and the right team of professionals the process should go smoothly with little or no surprises, and the finished product should tie seamlessly into the existing structure and architectural details.
The picture above is a home addition we did on a 1930’s era summer home. In addition to extensive interior renovations, we also removed the original low lying roof and added two gables, taller windows and a window seat to take advantage of the beautiful views of the pond and surrounding woodlands.
The next picture shows a nearly completed renovation we did to a home in the White Horse Beach area. The two additions we built; a kitchen bump out with an open floor plan to the expanded dining room (seen on the right-hand side of the photo), and a mudroom addition (seen in the foreground), will be an excellent upgrade from the original cramped kitchen, which also happened to serve as the main entrance to the house.
The picture that follows is a completed whole house remodel. Originally a one-bedroom, one-bathroom summer cottage, the home very was limited on space. By adding a second story addition and a kitchen bump out, we accommodated an additional bedroom, a second bathroom, and a new modern kitchen; as well as adding some much-needed space to the living room area.
In the above picture is an almost completed New Home Addition. We encourage you to see the dedicated page for our completed as well as before and during Plymouth Home Addition as shown above as well as the few pictures that follow:
